What we are looking for:
We are looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst in a permanent position.
What you will do:
- Prepares financial reporting and disclosures throughSAP FACT tool (Financial Accounting and Controlling Tool) for parent company, adhering to IFRS.
- Responsible for all aspects of taxes, computations, payments, periodic and annual returns: sales tax; withholding tax; non-resident tax; corporate income taxes.
- GL Account Reconciliations, cost controlling.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Insurance claim coordinator – property, fleet, marine - Review claims, coordinate with adjusters, and facilitate communication between all parties.
- Manage fixed asset acquisitions, company archive records, employee health and safety training.
- Assist sales and service cost centres with accounting issues, and other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
- University graduate;
- CGA, CMA or CPA qualified with
- 5+ years’ experience as a senior financial analyst or similar role in Finance and/or Accounting.
Skills:
- Strong analytical skills, Strong communications skills, and Strong MS Excel are requirements.
- Excellent working knowledge of all SAP modules.
- Excellent knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial taxes: Sales taxes; Withholding taxes; Excise taxes; Non-resident taxes; Corporate income tax.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all staff including senior management.
- Excellent English communication skills; knowledge of French would be beneficial but not mandatory.
- Position is a hybrid work model, with the main office location to be on Keaton Crescent in Mississauga. Must be able to travel into the office a minimum of a couple days a week as required.
