The Senior Financial Analyst in the JM Family Enterprise FP&A team will be responsible for supporting the forecasting, analysis and consolidated reporting of the company’s financial performance, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements and related business specific and macro-economic metrics. This role will also contribute to the enhancement of financial forecasting and reporting processes through the development and optimization of PowerBI, Oracle SmartView, EPM and PBCS platforms.
JM Family Enterprises is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support the enterprise on short-term and long-term financial efforts.
Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Assist in the forecast and analysis of consolidated P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements on a monthly, quarterly, annual and long-range basis.
- Analyze key financial metrics to identify trends, variances, performance drivers and areas for improvement.
- Support the development of management reporting packages and presentations for senior leadership.
Enterprise Consolidation & Planning:
- Work closely with the Business Unit FP&A and various Corporate teams to drive financial planning and forecasting processes within Oracle EPM and PBCS platforms.
- Ensure accurate consolidation and reporting of financial data across multiple business units and regions through Excel and other visualization techniques.
- Provide insights into intercompany eliminations and other consolidation-related entries.
System Optimization & Support:
- Collaborate in the development, maintenance, and improvement of the Oracle EPM and PBCS systems, enhancing reporting and consolidation capabilities.
- Support the integration and usage of SmartView for financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any system-related issues to ensure seamless financial reporting and consolidation processes.
Process Improvement & Automation:
- Assist in streamlining financial consolidation processes, implementing best practices, and driving automation initiatives.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from senior leadership and business units.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis related area
- Ability to independently problem solve, analyze and interpret complex financial data and present it in a clear and concise manner.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong project management skills, including organization, planning, and execution
- Consistently provide high-quality work to VP/SVPs
- Able to present to senior leaders, discuss analytics, and provide data-based views that may differ from leadership views
- Ability to present financial information to a non-financial audience
- Confidence to bring up data gaps and provide insights into why and recommendations around potential solutions
- Challenge ways of working and strive to continually elevate
- Strong financial knowledge to connect business levers to macro-economic and external trends and recommend actions
- Ability to work effectively in both team and self-directed environments
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity
- Strong understanding of financial systems and platforms, with hands-on experience in Oracle EPM, PBCS, and SmartView.
- Exposure to and development of business intelligence tools and reporting automation.
- Advanced Excel skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
