The Senior Financial Analyst will prepare, coordinate, collect, analyze and present budget and monthly forecast information to support Executive Management’s decision-making.  Consult in all reporting areas of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial, operating and statistical information for SBU management’s utilization in decision making.  Reconcile accounts in significant and/or technical areas. Responsibilities include month-end close, forecasting, annual budget, statistical analysis, reporting, modeling, revenue recognition and controls.  Although this is a fully remote role, applicants must reside within a commutable distance to Indianapolis, IN to attend regular meetings.

How You'll Shine:

  • Prepare, coordinate, collect, analyze and present financial data for management, containing detailed analysis of monthly, quarterly and year-end financial results.   

  • Prepare accurate forecasts monthly utilizing historical trend analysis and related research of industry and economic impacts on business.  Communicate significant variances to management.  Assist in preparation of annual budget. 

  • Reconcile accounts timely and accurately.

  • Provide financial and accounting expertise in support of existing and new products and projects that require a financial subject matter expert.  Specific functions include providing financial analysis, financial modeling and reporting for new products.  Projects will be assigned based on areas of expertise.

  • Develop processes to simplify and streamline procedures in order to eliminate unnecessary and duplicate work.

  • Assist and support management to resolve business, technical, and procedure compliance issues, and to interpret financial results.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's in accounting/finance Degree; Accounting preferred. CPA or MBA a plus. Excellent understanding of GAAP (accrual basis) Accounting.

  • Ability to work under pressure, function well both independently and within the team

  • Demonstrated consulting skills used to diagnose and correct situations of non-compliance in accounting and operational issues

  • Ability to re-engineer and implement business process improvements in operational areas, resolve challenging business situations

  • Excellent financial analysis and business modeling skills

  • Demonstrated organizational & time management skills to meet recurring deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Microsoft Excel level Intermediate to advance

  • 4 years analytical or accounting experience in a similar position.

  • Demonstrated ability to organize, process and analyze a large volume of financial information in a timely manner.

  • Experience in month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations, Oracle, NetSuite and/or Essbase, querying financial and statistical data, budgeting, forecasting, modeling and SEC reporting
