The Senior Financial Analyst role supporting one of our global Business Units and Quality & Regulatory team is responsible for forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting.  In addition, this person will partner in the preparation of financial models for investment opportunities and prepare ad-hoc analysis as needed.

This position reports to the Director of Finance and is part of the Finance Planning & Analysis team located in either Indianapolis or Miami and will be an on-site role.  

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Coordinate monthly forecasts and the annual budget including headcount, payroll, expense planning and revenue associated with new product introductions
  • Perform monthly close activities in our general ledger and project accounting sub-ledger including preparation and recording of accruals for unbilled services, prepaids and complete monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts for unbilled services
  • Analyze, prepare and present month-end financial results including expenses, headcount, revenue, bookings, backlog and ANSP’s
  • Support Business Unit Product Managers in the preparation of the Product Line Business Plans (PLBP) through financial modeling and profitability analysis for new product development projects
  • Provide general accounting and finance support such as invoice coding, researching profitability on products, and supporting the preparation of financial justifications for Capital investments

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • B.S. in Accounting, Finance or similar field
  • 5+ years of experience in finance and accounting with emphasis on budgeting forecasting, financial planning and analysis and financial modeling
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written), presentation and interpersonal skills are needed for cross-functional and global scope of role
  • Strong to advanced MS Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables etc.) as well as proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to develop financial models in Excel from scratch or streamline existing models to drive more efficient reporting

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Limited travel may be required

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Enterprise performance management report writing (e.g. BPC, Hyperion), Oracle, Oracle Business Intelligence a plus.
  • Experience in developing Power BI reports
  • Project Accounting
