Department OverviewThe Video Security & Access Control (VS&A) team within MSI is one of the most innovative physical structure security providers in the market. Composed of an experienced executive team of proven experts leading the modernization of the workplace with a new industry-leading platform that streamline cloud access control and video management while tightening security.
Job Description

This role will operate on a hybrid schedule based out of our Chicago office and candidates should expect to be in office 1 to 3 days on a biweekly cadence

Through analysis, forecasting, long-range planning, and partnering with business leaders, the VS&A Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team enables strategic decision-making and helps contextualize financial implications. In joining this team, you will work with a group of thoughtful, insightful individuals, all of whom are committed to solving complex problems and ensuring the continued growth of the company and its platforms. 

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst with excellent communication and strong analytical skills to join the Finance teams and work closely with its stakeholders on strategic analyses, forecasting, budgeting, and internal reporting. 

What you’ll do & more…

• Manage budgets for key functional teams by partnering with business leaders and ensuring sound financial investment decisions are made

• Identify risks and opportunities to budgets and work with business leaders to provide financial insights, assisting with decision making on strategic initiatives

• Support special projects that will help automate internal processes and improve efficiencies allowing for scale and sustainability

• Other ad-hoc strategic analyses and work across the business, as necessary

Additional Skills:

• 3+ years experience in client facing public accounting, corporate FP&A, or strategic finance at a high-growth startup or well established company

• Exposure to Oracle, SAP, and/or other accounting systems

• Tableau dashboard reporting and/or Alteryx experience

• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills. Familiarity with building complex financial models and manipulating large datasets to help the company makes strategic recommendations

• Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail

• Ability to work collaboratively to drive cross-functional execution on business goals

• Elevated pride of ownership in work product

• Willingness to roll up your sleeves, be additive when and where you can, and support team tasks to help out the company when necessary

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years experience in public accounting, corporate finance, or strategic finance
