Get to Know the Opportunity:

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Expense Management team with a focus on software expense management. The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with other members of the Controllership team, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) teams and key business partners.  Responsible for coordinating, conducting, reviewing and/or documenting efforts involving financial close processes, analysis, ad hoc requests, research and special projects.  Preparing consolidated expense reporting and variance analysis on a monthly basis, both on an allocated and unallocated basis.

Please Note:  Work location for this role is FLEXIBLE! This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule.  Must have the ability to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.

The Contributions You'll Make:

  • Participate in monthly close process by preparing analysis and journal entries (including accruals, prepayments and coordination of other accounting transactions).

  • Prepare unallocated and allocated expense reporting and variance analysis on a monthly basis.

  • Delivers succinct and clear summarizations of analysis (written and/or verbal) tailored to the needs of different business partners.

  • Support Spend Partners FP&A, as needed with the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes.

  • Understand expense allocations to business segments and legal entities

  • Prepare monthly and/or quarterly Account Reconciliations

  • Assist in preparation of reporting and management decision making information.

  • Collaborate with offshore partners providing accounting related support services by reviewing their work and providing guidance as needed.

  • Participate along with other analysts and managers in advanced problem solving and complex analysis.

  • Assist in ongoing process improvement initiatives as well as other ad-hoc reporting tasks and special projects.

  • Maintain, modify, document, and implement best practice methods and control procedures on expense processes.

  • Ensure expense processes are in compliance with SOX and audit standards.

  • Support the quarterly and annual audit process.

  • Share technical expertise with others.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

  • BA/BS in Finance/Accounting

  • 5-10 years in finance related area, budgeting, and expense

  • Advanced financial system skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel required, Oracle (ERP Ledger and SmartView) highly preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Sound fundamental knowledge of Finance and business processes.

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Able to manage multiple, often competing priorities and still meet deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with other departments and customers.

  • A self-starter, self-motivated, self-disciplined and performance driven.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • MBA/MSA/CPA a plus

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$82,760 - $103,450 USD
