Job Summary:
This is a hands-on role for an experienced accountant who thrives on responsibility, precision, and working across borders. As a Senior Accountant, you’ll manage the full financial operations for three UK legal entities—overseeing everything from monthly closes and statutory reporting to payroll processing and audit readiness. You’ll play a key role in upholding financial compliance, maintaining accurate records, and improving operational efficiency.
This is an initial 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role. We are looking to make a fast appointment, so candidates must be immediately available or able to start within a maximum of two weeks. Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly close process, preparing journals, analysing transactions, and ensuring financial accuracy.
- Review and approve transactional data posted by Treasury and AP/AR teams.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of statutory accounts and annual reports.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, ensuring all materials are complete and compliant.
- Oversee monthly payroll processing and maintain accurate payroll records.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax reports in line with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Reconcile payroll-related accounts and investigate variances.
- Support federal and state tax filings in collaboration with international finance partners.
- Work with internal stakeholders to improve processes, streamline workflows, and enhance financial reporting.
Minimum Qualifications:
- ACCA, ICAS, ICAEW or CPA qualified.
- At least 5 years of experience managing a full set of company accounts.
- Proficient in end-to-end payroll processing and tax compliance.
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent organisational and analytical skills.
- Effective communicator and collaborator, able to work with remote and international teams.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Occasional international travel may be required.
