Airbus Netherlands is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our Accounting team based in Leiden. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Accounting activities and have the ability to improve processes.

Job description
As Senior Financial Accountant within Airbus Netherlands you will be reporting to the Head of Accounting. In this role you are responsible for the closings, reportings, consolidation, forecasting, General Ledger activities, preparation of the financial statements, bank accounting, currency management and you will be supporting the internal and external audits.

Requirements
● A BSc. or MSc. degree in Financial studies.
● 5+ years of professional experience in the field of accounting / reporting.

● Knowledge and experience of the Dutch tax legislation.
● Residency in the Netherlands.
● Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google suite.
● Nice-to-have; knowledge of SAP, ERP systems.
● Nice-to-have; experience working with Google Suite (GMail, Docs, Sheets, Slides).

o Making the link between project control and accounting
o Interacting with different stakeholder during the closing (project controllers, project managers, sub ledger accountants, HO Accounting & Controlling, CFO)
o Financial investments impairment calculation & booking

Reporting
o Monthly consolidated report (FACTS+)
o Monthly consolidated comments on the figures
o Monthly order intake report
o ICART (intercompany tool) monthly alignment

Forecasting
o Monthly communication to the Airbus Group for landing figures
o Monthly P&L contribution (over 12 months)
o Monthly cash (over 12 months)

General ledger
o Accruals from project
o Tax booking
o IFRS 15 bookings
o IFRS 16 bookings

Order intake
o Order form pre-check

Financial statements
o Prepare the financial statements (balance sheet, P&L and cash flow statements)
o Prepare the notes of the financial statements

Currency management
o Forecast on hedging
o Hedging requests
o Hedging bookings

Bank accounting

o Daily bank accounting booking
o Allocation of the cash-in to the account receivables
o Allocation of the cash-out to the account payables
o Monthly bank reconciliation

Tax management
o Transfer price documentation

Auditors (KPMG)
o Collect audit evidences
o Organize the audit
o Answer to auditors for his / her area
