Job Description:
Senior Financial Accountant - 12-month fixed-term contract
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will carry out accounting responsibilities, including month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, supporting external financial audits, driving process improvements, and supporting the controls framework. This role involves ownership of specific accounting areas.

This is a hybrid role, offering a mix of remote and on-site work to provide flexibility and work-life balance.
What we can offer you:
- Monthly and quarterly financial reporting.
- Journal preparation and posting.
- Balance sheet reconciliations – preparation of reconciliations for own areas and review of reconciliations for other areas.
- Analytical review of financials.
- External Audit Support.
- Ensuring controls are being completed.
- Develop and maintain documentation around procedures and controls.
- Develop and maintain accounting memos and policies.
- Lead finance projects as required.
- Drive and implement process improvement activities.
- Partner with departments outside of finance to successfully complete work/projects.
The skills you bring:
- Qualified Accountant with 5-10 years of experience.
- Knowledge of US GAAP.
- Strong understanding of financial systems, processes, and controls.
- Experience in the month-end close process.
- History of solving complex operational and accounting matters.
- Strong Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivots).
