Role Overview

J
oin GitLab's dynamic Regional Marketing team where you'll craft integrated campaigns that showcase Gitlab’s value through in-person and digital experiences. We're seeking an experienced, creative marketing professional to develop and execute field marketing strategies across the AMER West region. In this role, you'll work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to drive pipeline growth for our Sales and Ecosystem programs. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on GitLab's market presence while working with a collaborative, cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do  

  • Take full ownership of your AMER regional marketing initiatives, creating detailed and strategic program plans.
  • Continually experiment, test and iterate programs to define best practice and evolve program as the business grows
  • Analyze and report on the impact and performance of regional marketing to a range of audiences, from local leadership to the executive level and tailor the insights accordingly
  • Achieve high and consistent ROI from Marketing programs in AMER, through operational rigor, measurement, and budget and financial management
  • Be a leader in working cross-functionally to drive the execution of demand generation and field marketing plans, aligning with other areas of marketing.
  • Work in collaboration with external agencies and 3rd parties to prepare, manage and execute campaigns.
  • Act as a Senior leader on the Field Marketing team, mentoring and guiding Field Marketing Coordinators/Specialists and Managers.
  • Be a leader in building and driving process within the Field Marketing organization.

What You’ll Bring 

  • 5 to 7+ years progressive experience in the B2B tech industry with a focus on field marketing, working directly with sales teams
  • You’re a creative thinker with fresh ideas and a playbook on how to try new tactics and build things from the ground up.
  • Data-driven, using data to measure results and inform decision making and strategy development.
  • Proven aptitude to build and drive a budget within the territory.
  • Orientation to managing program details.
  • Experience delivering on both third-party and owned events.
  • Ability to travel if needed and comply with the company’s travel policy. Travel up to 50%.
  • Able to coordinate across many teams and iterate and deliver in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies across the entire Software Development Lifecycle, especially in large enterprise environments.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, and the ability to distill down complex ideas in a variety of mediums (including content, decks, meetings). 
  • Proficient in Salesforce, Marketo, Tableau, Asana, Allocadia, GitLab, and Google Workspace.
  • Proven experience being self-directed and working with minimal supervision.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets and allocating resources across tactics.
  • High EQ and an excellent relationship builder, with the ability to secure resources and get buy-in from stakeholders.

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.

$90,700$194,400 USD
