A DAY IN A LIFE
As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:
- Monitor and carry out the implementation of occupational health and safety that is compliant with regulatory or company policy
- Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures. Ensure that these policies are effectively communicated and implemented throughout the organization
- Conducting safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas of improvement
- Monitor and evaluate safety performance indicators, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to enhance safety practices and procedures.
- Perform risk assessment and mitigation for potential risks and hazards within the workplace and develop strategies and mitigation plans
- Organize Safety training and awareness programs and conduct safety training programs
- Leads investigations In the event of accidents or incidents, to determine the root causes and develop corrective actions
- Ensure that proper incident reporting procedures are followed and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure safety measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization's operations.
- Developing and implementing sustainability strategies at the direction of the Head, Standards & Integrated Operations Governance
- To perform any adhoc tasks assigned by superior
These are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role:
- Experience in airline/logistics space
- Technical background in processes and documentation
- At least an undergraduate degree
- 2+ years working experience
- Relevant safety competencies
- Poses occupational safety training
