In this role, you will work on a team responsible for the development and execution of M&T Bank’s enterprise communications strategy. You’ll also be a member of a dynamic corporate communications team that is your source of standards, professional collaboration and career development.

Working with this team, you will:

  • Develop and implement strategic and engaging communications plans to increase employee engagement and drive business outcomes
  • Source and tell stories highlighting the bank's progress against strategic imperatives
  • Create, promote, and amplify original content across channels to all stakeholder groups.
  • Implement compelling and engaging communications programs to increase employee awareness and knowledge of activities affecting employees
  • Work closely with business partners and key stakeholders to develop, manage and implement enterprise communications campaigns
  • Develop targeted communication campaigns and change management programs to bridge identified knowledge gaps to drive alignment and engagement around key business outcomes
  • Support the evaluation and potential implementation of new communication delivery channels
  • Build relationships and convene conversations with key stakeholder and various groups of bank colleagues as means of connecting them to the company’s work.
  • Regularly lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Work closely with others on content team including video and social teams.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in experience.

Minimum of 3-years’ experience in designing engaging communication strategies, developing content and building communities

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Relevant PC skills

Knowledge of contemporary communications channels

Education and Experience Preferred:

Experience as team-lead is a plus

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $71,985.72 - $119,976.20 Annual (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
