You will lead the engineering and people behind Cloudflare's storage and transactional data products. This is an organization consisting of numerous teams that design, build, and operate the foundational building blocks that enable developers to build stateful applications on Cloudflare. You will play an active part in shaping both the product, and design of these systems. You will mentor, grow, and challenge managers, and engineers of all levels of seniority.
You excel at understanding how big-picture goals inform technical details. You thrive in a fast-paced iterative engineering environment and have experience in delivering a wide array of software from scalable distributed systems all the way to client side libraries. Most importantly, you have a track record of having past teams respect you as both a technical leader and manager.

- Excel at building high performing teams, recruit top talent, and retain key engineers and managers
- Strong technical background in systems engineering, including hands-on experience building storage and data systems
- Skilled at strategic planning, overseeing execution of complex projects that span many teams, and commitment to delivering results on tight deadlines
- Obsessed with building products that customers love
- Demonstrated ability to implement tools, processes, and internal systems which enable your teams to remove blockages and deliver reliable software predictably
- Comfortable managing teams/projections with tight deadlines and short release cycles
- Establishes and upholds high-performance standards by identifying KPIs, setting ambitious yet achievable goals, delivering continuous feedback, and fostering a culture of accountability.
