The Opportunity:
As a member of the AI Engineering Team, you will play a key role in building and optimizing our platform to deliver AI-driven tools that align with Gloo's mission of championing personal and spiritual growth.
In the role of the Senior Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain complex software systems that enable reliability and security at scale. while collaborating with and assisting other members of the engineering team, as well as cross-functional teams. You'll bring technical expertise and strategic thinking to build new features and solve challenging problems.
You will accelerate engineering productivity by empowering your fellow engineers with excellent tooling and systems. These solutions will further Gloo's strategic vision for AI-enabled growth and human flourishing.
This role is hybrid based in Pittsburgh, PN.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Technical Excellence

- Designs, develops, and implements high-quality software solutions.
- Leads architectural discussions and guides technology choices.
- Writes clean, maintainable, and efficient code and documentation.
- Performance Improvement

- Conducts code reviews and provides mentorship to junior team members.
- Identifies and resolves performance and scalability issues.
- Maintains and improves existing software applications.
- Ensures adherence to best practices in software development, security, and DevOps.
- Stays up to date with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions.
- Collaboration & Communication

- Collaborates with other members of the engineering team on large-scale projects.
- Communicates any needs, opportunities, or threats in the product development process.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3-5+ Years of Next.js or React experience, or other object-oriented and / or functional programming languages and frameworks in addition to Python and AI technologies.
- Experience with cloud computing and microservice architecture
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization
- Proficiency with databases and data modeling
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Compensation: $125,000 - $175,000
