Job Description
- Job Description Summary:
§ Your primary responsibility will be on Enterprise product validation for Western Digital SAS/NVMe/NVMeoF storage enclosures/servers, Interact with engineers across the company and coordinate testing activities.
§ To be able to deliver a quality product by performing all the necessary QA job functions.
§ Contribute majorly towards automating the test plan.
§ Debug firmware and hardware issues with SSD/HDD, storage products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
§ Produce deliverables by developing, modifying, and executing software test plans.
§ Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.
§ Troubleshoot/isolate issues to root cause, down to the right component in the test ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Job Description:
- 4-6 years’ experience of Server / Storage QA automation & testing with SSDs, firmware and storage subsystems
- Excellent knowledge of Storage Servers, Storage Arrays – JBOD, JBOFs, NAS, SAN
- In-depth working knowledge of SAS, SCSI, PCIe protocols
- Working knowledge on SSD and debugging skills is a plus.
- Understand Hardware and Software interaction
- Working knowledge on SAS/PCIe analyzers is a plus
- Install and configure various hardware and software components
- Perform bug verification and drive issues to resolution
- Ability to write Python scripts for automated tests and contribute towards automation framework
- White box testing knowledge is a plus
- Solid working knowledge of operating systems: Windows / Linux including trouble shooting issues/problems with those systems
- Assist in customer escalations
- Understand Software development Life Cycle
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to achieve results in a fast moving, dynamic environment
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated and Self-driven

- Participate in key product development and technical teams
- Excellent knowledge in Software development lifecycle and engineering processes
- Capable of working as part of a global development team spanning across geos.
- Good stake holder management and interact with program managers, sales, quality and cross geo teams.
- Be an Agile team member with TTM as a goal with high quality deliveries.
- Contribute to team goals, schedules.
