The Senior Software Engineer is a seasoned professional responsible for implementing complex software systems, leading development projects, and providing technical expertise. They are key contributors to the architecture and innovation of software products. Essential Functions:
- Lead the design and development of significant software features or projects.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and prioritize software requirements.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality code standards.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues and bottlenecks.
- Contribute to the improvement of development processes and software architecture.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to debug and improve products.
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, code comments, clear and efficient code.
- Assist in code reviews and enforce standard practices within the team.
- Continuously learn and adapt to modern technologies and development practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training.
- 4+ years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages.
- Deep understanding of software architecture and design principles.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Effective leadership and communication skills.
- Experienced in working in a Full stack environment.
- Excellent communication and technical influencing skills.
- Experience with Agile principles preferred
General
- Should have the ability to trouble shoot issues and help other developers technically in their day to day work.
- Excellent communication skills to work with global stakeholders.
- Exposure to Agile Methodologies.
- Enthusiasm to work and learn in a team environment.
- Development experience writing and debugging J2EE Web applications
Mandatory Skills: Technology
- Thorough understanding of Object-oriented analysis, design, and development abilities.
- Should have 4+ years of overall experience working on Java and J2EE technologies.
- Should have exposure to UI technologies like JavaScript, Html, Angular/React/JQuery etc.
Other desirable experience:
- Agile/ Scrum methodology
- Application Servers such as Oracle WebLogic
- UNIX operating systems such as Sun Solaris or Linux, Tools & Utilities
- XML, EJB, CORBA, JDBC
- Micro Focus/Progress Orbix CORBA
- Ant, MAVEN, CA Harvest, Git
- Sun JAVA Certification
- Web Services (SOAP and REST) / SOA
- Experience with a relational databases and PL/SQL
- Exposure to Spring / Hibernate frameworks.
