Senior Product Engineer—Product Development
The Energy Conversion Solution (ECS) team is looking for a highly skilled Senior Product Engineer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing bench test solutions for new products under ECS.
He/She is responsible for silicon evaluation, bench evaluation reports, generating characterizations plans, executing automotive qualification, and providing technical assistance in analyzing customer returns and defining corrective measures to address root cause. He/She will work closely with the Design and Test engineering team in evaluating product functionality and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Development of bench hardware and software tools necessary for bench evaluation and automation.
- Work with Design engineers to identify product issues and silicon bugs at early silicon stages.
- Evaluate and analyze typical performance characteristics across specified operating ranges.
- Manage and maintain projects schedules that align with product introduction and release dates.
- Lead the Automotive qualification and look-ahead evaluations on first silicon to identity issues on qual readiness.
- Drive investigation for customer return, perform risk assessment, and implement corrective action.
Requirements:
- Graduate of BS Electronics or Electrical Engineering (master’s degree a plus).
- At least 5+ years related and progressive semiconductor manufacturing experience.
- Solid background on electronics, circuit analysis and understanding of Gate Drivers, Silicon Carbide and Power products.
- Proficient in Product Testing, Statistical Tools, SPC, Failure Analysis, Design of Experiments, and Debug Techniques.
- Strong Project Management and Problem-Solving Skills.
- Strong knowledge in using Bench test equipment and programming on Labview, Python, visual basic and C++ is an advantage.
- Experience with high-voltage, high-current devices and integrated drivers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
