The Role:

The Wet Etch & Cleans Engineering Organization is looking for a motivated and team oriented individual to join our dynamic and collaborative group. The Product Development Engineer will design, develop, and support new liquid filtration products that drive long term growth for the business.
In this role you will:
-
Drive product development that meets performance requirements under budget and on-time
-
Lead projects through stage-gate process to meet marketing, technical, quality, manufacturing requirements
-
Design, develop, characterize and validate product performance for flow, pressure and temperature specifications using CFD, FEA simulations and empirical data.

Design equipment and processes needed for product assembly, device design and performance testing
-
Work across multi-disciplined teams to help drive consensus for product performance and manufacturing capabilities
-
Support pilot development of assembly processes on new pilot line with focus on new technology for yield improvement and new materials.

Perform administrative functions such as writing status reports, tracking expenditures, and documenting test plans, results, and product specifications

Mentor/coach junior engineering team members
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and design capabilities

Strong project leadership experience, ability to make action plans and recommendations and communicate across the organization

Mechanical, Materials science, Chemical Engineering or related engineering field, product design (Minimum 3+ years experience; MS)

Plastics/polymer molding and bonding experience preferred
-
Strong knowledge of SolidWorks (and other CAD), device fabrication and assembly, design for manufacturing, statistics, SPC and Six Sigma methodologies

Excellent communication and strong written, verbal and computer skills
-
Knowledge of filtration and semiconductor processes preferred
-
Experience working in cleanrooms, facilities, and semi-conductor customer equipment
-
15-25% of travel expected to support these activities
