This Senior Messaging Engineer willdesign,build and enhance our Unified Communications PlatformYou will help execute on all systemsDWEbuildswith specific focuses on mail-flow, messaging security, and MS Teams Telephony all within a complex hybrid environment (Exchange 2013/O365). This leader will help develop Platform Engineers to be able to support the business in an effective and secure manner while innovatingResMed’s overall communications ecosystem.  

DWE is a full cycle team that builds and provides support to our Technical Support team as well as other IT business, you have a sense of urgency and a passion for ourend users.You will focus on understanding the cross functional BU’s and ensure we have the right tools for scalability, automation, and next-generation enhancementsWe value performance, simplicity and scalability in our designs.  

Let’s talk about Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Work with a dedicated stream of platform engineers focused on unified communication (MS Exchange Hybrid 2013/O365 and MS Teams telephony). 
  • Configure and manage Exchange Hybrid environments with O365 and on-premise systems. 
  • Work with Platform Engineers globally, helping to develop their skills and see the impact they are making across the organization.  
  • Drive team to document system configurations, standards, and procedures ensuring industry and security standards are met.  
  • Be the voice and brand of our ecosystem, ensuring communication to the end users is effective and what is needed for each specific user. 
  • Build a team culture of curiosity, improvement and jumping in headfirst to try new things.  
  • Drive to educate cross functional teams’ skills in the BM/o365 space that will result in a better end user experience.  
  • Support and troubleshoot complex mail flow architectures. 
  • Provide expertise in Enterprise Vault and Vault Cloud solutions (Atla). 
  • Manage the distribution of workload among the team and monitor day-to-day operations to ensure that incidents are effectively resolved within SLA targets. 
  • Provide training and support on Exchange Online migration and Calendar Sharing/Collaboration, Teams telephony. 
  • Support MS Teams and Teams telephony Administration.
  • Respond work work with the incident management team for escalations and complete service requests within the established SLAs, offering best practice recommendations. 
  • Develop and maintain documentation relating to messaging environments and solutions. 
  • Look to enhance the ecosystem and build project plans and provide updates to business leaders and stakeholders. 
  • Work within a global team supporting multiple team members in many time zones.

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience

You will be an enthusiastic self-starter who can think outside the box and possess the mental agility to make an impact within your role quickly. You will be able to demonstrate grit, initiative, learn fast, and work effectively within a team environment. 

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent. 
  • 5+ years progressive experience managing Exchange Hybrid environments and O365.
  • In-depth understanding of MS Exchange 2019 and Office 365 Management Suite, including knowledge of PowerShell. 
  • Experience with Enterprise Vault and Vault Cloud solutions. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in complex mail flow and messaging environments. 
  • Proven mentorship and coaching skills, with patience, understanding and a drive and passion for the team to be successful.  
  • You understand the difference between giving answers and coaching a team to be more successful by guiding them to find answers together. 
  • You know how to ask questions, dig for answers, and find innovative solutions while working in a team environment. 
  • Sound judgment and ability to effectively balance information risk controls with business productivity and growth. 
  • Ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences that include senior management and non-technical leaders/ResMedians.
  • Previous experience deploying upgrades and conducting UAT.  
  • Experience supporting Microsoft suite of tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams and manage relationships across multiple areas of the business including Audit, Compliance, and other executive stakeholders.
  • Communication and Follow up are the keys to success in this roleIf you don’t like to connect with end users (customers/ResMedian’s), this is not the team for you!  

Nice to Have:

  • MCSE and/or Azure certifications. 
  • Experience with MS Teams telephony and related integrations.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and migrations.
