We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Energy Storage EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our energy storage systems meet the necessary electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards, ensuring the efficient and safe integration of these systems into electrical grids and industrial applications.
As Sr. EMC Engineer, you will:
- EMC Design & Analysis: Conduct EMC testing and design activities for energy storage systems, including battery management systems (BMS), power electronics, and associated components.
- Testing & Validation: Lead the EMC compliance testing and troubleshooting of energy storage products, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet global standards such as IEC, UL, and ISO.
- Failure Analysis & Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve EMI/EMC-related issues in the product lifecycle, from prototyping to final product deployment, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, product development teams, and external certification bodies to develop and implement effective EMC solutions and enhance product performance.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on test results, including recommendations for improvements, ensuring full documentation of compliance processes.
What you will bring to Fluence:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in EMC testing, analysis, and troubleshooting, preferably within energy storage or power electronics.
- Strong knowledge of EMC standards, testing methods, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with energy storage systems, including lithium-ion batteries, inverters, and power electronics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
