Position Overview:
The Senior Director of Technology Strategic Operations and Business Office to lead and manage the operational and financial aspects of our Technology organization. This critical role will partner closely with the CTIO and technology leadership team to drive strategic planning, operational excellence, financial management, and business administration, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a strong leader, and a results-oriented individual with a proven track record of success in technology operations and business management.
Job Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field; MBA preferred.

10+ years of experience in technology operations, business management, or a related field, with increasing levels of responsibility.

Proven track record of success in strategic planning, financial management, and operational excellence within a technology organization.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Deep understanding of technology trends and best practices.

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.

Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is a plus.
Location Requirement:
This role is located in the Greater Phoenix area. This position is required to be in office 4 days per week (Mon-Thurs); Fridays are optional remote work days.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
Strategic Planning & Execution:

Lead the development and execution of the Technology organization's strategic plan, including defining key performance indicators (KPIs), setting goals, and tracking progress.

Collaborate with technology leaders to identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency improvements, and cost optimization.

Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making.

Facilitate the annual budget planning process and manage budget allocation across technology departments.
Operational Excellence:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Technology Business Office, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.

Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize resource utilization and improve service delivery.

Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Financial Management:

Manage the Technology organization's budget, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and analyzing variances.

Develop and implement cost control measures to optimize spending and maximize return on investment.

Provide financial reporting and analysis to the CIO and technology leadership team.

Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Business Administration:

Oversee resource management, including headcount planning, talent acquisition, and performance management.

Manage technology-related administrative tasks, such as procurement, contract management, and facilities management.

Develop and implement communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed of technology initiatives and progress.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Leadership & Team Management:

Lead and mentor a team of business operations professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and high performance.
