Position Overview:


The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Technical Operations is responsible for establishing the vision and strategy for the Technical Operations development team while overseeing all operations in India as the country head. The AVP will identify and lead growth initiatives to transform the development function as Endpoint industrializes, scales processes, and invests in its global team. This role will provide direct management to Operations Engineering leaders, responsible for growing and leading a team of talented developers across multiple geographies and ensuring excellence in software development delivery to clients.


This role also encompasses managing India-based operations, including regulatory compliance, stakeholder management, and driving regional strategic initiatives.


They serve as a technical liaison when interfacing with internal teams and clients, driving continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency within the department. This role reports to the Vice President, Technical Operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior leadership to establish operations engineering vision, strategic plans, objectives, and roadmaps.
  • Define and roll out leading KPIs that drive strong execution and practices.
  • Assess current business practices, identify, advocate for, and drive the implementation of tools and process changes to improve operational delivery quality and efficiencies.
  • Establish the Operations Engineering structure to optimize delivery for current customers and support new product releases.
  • Establish robust resource management, skills certification, and training to ensure high-quality delivery and client focus, with optimal resourcing flexibility and planning to enable scale.
  • Identify capabilities and expertise needed to enable the growth of the organization.
  • Oversee development leaders for study delivery, modeling, and promoting efficient practices, high quality, and consistency across accounts, ensuring processes align with regulations and internal procedures.
  • Create and ensure metrics measuring development performance for both speed and quality of delivery.
  • Work across the pillars of Engineering (Operations Engineers, Product Engineers, and Integration Engineers) to standardize and advance engineering uniformity across Endpoint.
  • Maintain a positive, results-orientated work environment, building partnerships, modeling accountability, and teamwork, while communicating openly, fairly, and objectively with the team.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent and/or appropriate experience.

Experience:

  • 15+ years of experience in technical management of operational software teams.
  • Experience in leading engineering organizations through significant growth, industrializing operations engineering processes while maintaining quality delivery.
  • Demonstrable experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and other software development concepts like Source Control (Git), DevOps, or CI/CD.
  • Experience with application and database design and development.
  • 15+ years of experience in the IRT industry, highly preferred.
  • Experience with ASP.NET, C#, and SQL Server is advantageous.
  • Experience with client-side technologies, including HTML/ JavaScript/CSS is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of the Indian market and regulatory landscape.
