The Importance of the Role
The Senior Director of Strategy & Operations is a position that requires operations experience and a combination of strategic thinking and analysis, expertise in project management, financial acumen and proficiency with contract negotiations.
This role is primarily responsible for leading strategic Technical Operations initiatives that will enable scalable growth for Sarepta in delivering ongoing supply to serve as many patients as possible.
This individual will also perform evaluations to enable innovation and advancement with strategic alliances in partnership with internal technical SMEs, create modeling methodologies to perform strategic analyses, and build business cases to optimize decisions and investments.
This role is highly cross-functional, working with key stakeholders in Technical Operations, Business Development, Finance, Legal, Research, etc.
The Opportunity to Make a Difference

Lead complex Technical Operations initiatives that will evolve the business and scale organization for growth, such as operational digitization, capability introduction and capacity expansion

Lead centralized Data Management initiative to create efficiencies with data analytics and build capabilities for data sciences, by aligning requirements, establishing business processes and implementing solutions in collaboration with IT

Partner with Business Development on evaluation of new business opportunities ensuring consistency with strategic goals

Evaluate and establish strategic technical collaborations with external organizations that can enhance platform, process, analytical or operational capabilities in partnership with technical SMEs

Develop robust Technical Operations business cases to optimize capital investment decisions

Conduct cross-functional risk assessments based on Technical Operations market research and analysis and develop mitigation strategies and plans

Support development/refinement of strategic analytical models

Support creation of the Tech Ops Strategic plan including long range planning (LRP), program prioritization impact and resource modeling

Assist in maintaining financial models working with Finance for long range plans (LRP), CoGs, OpEx, capital investment, etc.

Support S&OP and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) initiatives, as well as optimization of other business processes, as needed

Support projects relating to CoGs reduction, supply chain optimization, supply planning, etc.
More about You
-
BSc./BEng. with a minimum of 20 years of direct biotech/pharma Technical Operations experience

Knowledge and experience developing financial/resource models and business cases
-
Strong business, analytical and planning skills
-
Proven ability to successfully manage projects and timelines, organize/track complex information, prioritize accordingly, and the ability to quickly adjust to shifting priorities and demanding timelines when necessary

Excellent writing and oral communication skills
-
Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels of the organization including senior management
