The Senior Director Global Procurement – International Markets will be accountable for the delivery of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement activities across Regeneron’s expanding international footprint. This role provides leadership across Strategic Sourcing & Procurement (SS&P) to ensure unique market requirements (regulatory, language, legal, commercial, medical, cultural, etc.) are understood and appropriately addressed across SS&P teams. In addition, this individual will partner with senior leaders from each international market to implement and optimize plans for supplier engagement and sourcing priorities to achieve local commercial, regulatory, and site objectives by leveraging the broader Regeneron organization. This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement and works closely with the SS&P Leadership Team and department to ensure capabilities are truly global and able to efficiently enable international expansion and local market priorities.

A typical day might include:

  • Representing the SVP, SS&P and the broader SS&P organization in driving key decisions to optimize Regeneron’s global expansion and international market priorities – bringing innovation and critical thinking to ensure short-term execution and long-term efficiency and growth to ensure the operating success of Regeneron’s international markets.

  • Leading cross-organizational projects and/or participates in company-wide projects to accelerate and optimize Regeneron’s international markets while leveraging Regeneron’s global supplier, sourcing, contracting, and supplier management capabilities to create a competitive advantage for the company.

  • Creating a team culture that anticipates and responds effectively to the changing business needs of an organization driving a rapid international expansion.

  • Acting as an influential leader across senior leaders – demonstrating critical thinking, change management, strong business acumen, and deep experience driving global procurement fundamentals – to implement global strategies, operating models, and efficient processes to enable international market success while applying Regeneron global resources.

  • Leading and/or participating in senior management discussions related to the development, measurement, and execution of strategic plans to drive, external support of international market and Regeneron-wide priorities.

  • Demonstrating strong in-depth knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the international growth and maturity of the SS&P organization and leverages this knowledge to drive improvements within Regeneron, aligned with corporate priorities.

  • Exhibiting role-model leadership behaviors across an organization of direct and indirect reports who look to this role to create clarity, provide a clear and understandable vision, and drive positive and productive change both within and outside of the organization – including senior executive leaders across Regeneron and our most critical suppliers.

  • Operating with integrity, focus, clarity, and sound judgement in an environment of ambiguity to inspire change and improvement to future organizational processes, structures, and culture.

This role may be for you if you have:

  • Experience working in a matrixed global organization, driving local priorities within a global framework.

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study. Additionally, an advanced degree and/or certification in a relevant field/function would be highly valuable to a potential candidate.

  • Experience successfully leading global teams, processes, and suppliers within a multi-national biopharmaceutical organization will be a critical enabler of success for the incumbent.

  • Demonstrated success driving global priorities at a local level – enabling efficient expansion and success at an international market level through partnership with a global strategic sourcing and procurement organization.

  • 20 years of experience in relevant functions/industries, demonstrating growth in experience, scale, and development throughout.
