Summary of Job:

To support the Commercial Operations Vice President in the operational management of all key programs, projects, and deliverables by championing cross-functional collaboration and accomplishment of key objectives on time and budget.  Efficient delivery of all aspects of business operations including but not limited to Franchise Brand Teams, Patient Services, Lifecycle management, Clinical Development, Sales & Marketing, Market Access, Corporate Comms/Patient Advocacy, Sales Training, Commercial Digital Analytics, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Sales Ops, Supply Chain, Drug Safety, Finance, Legal and Quality Assurance. The role requires extensive Pharmaceutical expertise and knowledge across all functions of Commercial Operations.

Essential Functions:

Work in close collaboration with the Vice President, Commercial Operations to support the strategy and to track and monitor key processes, workstreams, meetings, and activities, including ongoing cross-functional programs, KPIs, budget planning and brand strategy.

Proactively champion communication, identify opportunities and risks and ensure team accountability with the implementation of the associated strategies.

Applies program management expertise, methodologies, and department standards to assist in building an outstanding Commercial Operations team.

Ensures successful business operations evolution across functions to ensure we best meet the needs of internal stakeholders. Where possible, proactively highlights opportunities and risks to VP, Commercial Ops and leadership team.

Ensures alignment of product value proposition, program scope, and strategic business objectives

Develops and executes continuous improvements;  creates and maintains relevant performance metrics; and implements best practices within Commercial Ops

Drives program planning process ensuring requirements are clear and driven by customer need and experience

Defines, delegates, and evaluates the roles, responsibilities, goals, and deliverables for core and extended team members. Facilitates and coordinates group/team meetings, ensuring results-oriented meetings and positive team dynamics

Develops innovative solutions, through functional collaboration, to complex business or technical problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity

Independently determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results in line with franchise strategies

Communicates effectively with team members, senior leaders, key stakeholders, and board members on assigned program's progress, issues, risks, needs, and opportunities

Develops, maintains, tracks, and manages high quality, integrated project plan, including clearly identified critical paths and key risks as needed

Preparation of key deliverables and presentation for annual budget process and other strategic initiatives

Partner closely with Finance department and cross functional leadership with developing, maintaining, tracking, and managing the budget and by identifying budgetary impacts of strategic and critical issues

Track and communicate all key timelines for deliverables (e.g. brand plan, LE quarterly reviews, annual budget planning process)

Work with team to develop and champion appropriate governance, charters, and meeting cadence

Maintain Project tracking and documentation e.g. functional activity status, critical high-risk activities, remediation plans, status updates for the Executive team

Motivate cross-functional teams to ensure full execution on time and budget and measurement of key opportunities and risks.

Must have ability to lead without authority and build collaboration across diverse groups and create a cohesive alignment.

Job Requirements:

Education

Bachelors Degree Required; Advanced Degree Preferred

Experience

10+ years of pharmaceutical commercial experience. Broad understanding of Commercial Operations within pharmaceutical industry with respect to cross-functional responsibilities including but not limited to Sales Operations, Marketing Operations, Sales Training, Insights & Analytics, Omnichannel Marketing, and other commercial functions

Experience in project managing cross-functional project teams

Prior experience leading, being a part of, or working closely with Insights & Analytics teams

Technical Skills

Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Non-Technical Skills

Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, meet deadlines, make decisions, and change course of action quickly. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong work ethic is required. Detail oriented and excellent follow through. Has the ability to flex and deal with ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced, high growth environment. Has a passion for personal learning and development to be able to grow with the company. Cultural sensitivity and ability to develop consensus within a multinational organization.

Physical Demands: Normal office environment with prolonged sitting and extensive computer work.

Working Conditions: Requires up to 50% of domestic and international travel
