The Senior Data Center Construction Project Manager will be responsible for leading the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of multiple projects with the construction services, program management. The ideal candidate will possess the knowledge and experience to manage data center construction project management and have relevant data center experience.
This role requires direct experience in managing data center construction projects with a strong emphasis on MEP systems, as well as a deep understanding of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and redundancy protocols. PMP certification or strong project management knowledge (scheduling, budgeting, risk management) is preferred.
You will be the driving force behind ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as the client/owner’s (CoreWeave) construction staff overseeing the work of general contractors, collaborate with designers as necessary, and vendors.
- The location of the candidate preferably should be in Northern Virginia, Georgia , Texas, Chicago, New Jersey or New York.
- Possess the knowledge and experience to manage the construction of data centers.
- Administer the contract with the Developer and the General Contractor during construction and close out of data centers enforcing the contract to ensure a high level of project administration in accordance with the drawings and specifications provided by the clients design consultants.
- Oversee electrical and low voltage equipment coordination and commissioning and quality assurance.
- Enforce the construction contract with the client to minimize costs and seek to obtain the lowest reasonable costs for the project.
- Monitor and ensure that the General Contractor and all other separate contractors along with base building and site developer and any suppliers of owner furnished contractors are aligned with project goals, scheduling, and other coordinated efforts to avoid scheduling or interference issues.
- Advise CoreWeave on the schedule implications of any proposed changes to requirements in accordance with the “Model Change Management” system.
- Maintain oversight over General Contractor for all local authority statutory and planning approvals monitoring the GC and Design Consultants to ensure the required information is submitted to the relevant statutory bodies.
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
- Execute stellar delivery starting with pre-construction services (bid/permit/schedule), construction oversight (construction/change orders/invoicing/punch lists), store start-up and turnover, and project close out.
- Knowledge of construction components, process, and methodologies and cost estimation required.
- Plan and schedule project timelines for multiple projects and delegate to appropriate personnel.
- Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions to leadership teams and clients.
- Must have proposal preparation, budget development, forecasting, and financial management experience.
- Knowledge of/experience with web based project management is necessary.
- Read, analyze, and interpret complex construction documents.
- Operate with safety at the forefront of all construction initiatives.
- Oversee electrical and low voltage equipment coordination and commissioning and quality assurance.
What you Need for the Role:
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Construction, Architecture, Engineering or related degree required.
- Minimum 7+ years construction project management experience.
- Direct experience in managing data center construction projects with a strong emphasis on MEP systems.
- Deep understanding of data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, and redundancy protocols.
- PMP certification or strong project management knowledge (scheduling, budgeting, risk management).
- The ideal candidate possesses electrical and low voltage equipment coordination and commissioning or quality assurance experience.
- Experience managing projects with a contract value of $100M +
- Proven track record of onsite project leadership, driving teams to deliver complex, technical projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to work onsite full-time and effectively communicate with the client and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset, with experience handling mission-critical environments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client-facing roles.
- Travel is required - 50% domestic travel
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Strong consideration will be given to those that are PMP and LEED certified.
- A valid driver's license is required with no significant MVA points/violations.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,000-$180,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
