The Team
The DevOps team is responsible for deploying, monitoring, optimizing, and securing our cloud infrastructure and company software; both rapidly expanding. Automation is at the core of what we do. Our Infrastructure & Deployment team is at the heart of this transformation. Our goal is to design, implement and maintain our production and cloud-based infrastructure with innovative, efficient methodologies and robust security practices.
The Role
As we continue to grow, we are now seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer. In this role, you'll be driving a wide range of projects, expected to operate independently while also offering guidance and support to your colleagues and all Viva.com employees. This role involves working across multiple teams including architects, project management leads, and engineering leads within the Technology Group.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, configure, and administer CI/CD and IaC infrastructure;
- Research innovative technologies to find new and efficient ways to solve day to day challenges;
- Ensure secure and efficient operations by following design principles and leveraging DevOps methodologies;
- Automate repetitive tasks to make the processes faster and more efficient, while also reducing human error, improving consistency, efficiency and productivity;
- Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage;
- Fostering communication between development, operations, infrastructure and quality assurance teams.
Tech stack
Our technological environment primarily comprises Azure cloud, using its SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS, including Azure Active Directory, Office 365, SharePoint, etc. Operating systems include Windows and Linux, with Azure DevOps as our core tool.
To be considered for the Senior DevOps Engineer role, you should have:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering (or a proven strong background);
- Extensive demonstrable experience (5+ years) as a DevOps Engineer, with prior experience in a senior role;
- Profound understanding of Microsoft Azure services, including expert-level knowledge in deployment, resource administration, and maintenance;
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows server administration and Linux server administration (Ubuntu, Debian);
- Expertise in container technologies (Docker, OpenShift) and orchestrators (Docker Swarm, Kubernetes);
- Substantial experience in automation scripting like Shell/Bash scripting, PowerShell, Python etc;
- Deep understanding of versioning and revision control, preferably Git;
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills on large-scale distributed systems;
- Strong experience with multiple industry-standard CI/CD platforms;
- Solid knowledge of build automation platforms such as Maven and Gradle with a particular focus on mobile application platforms;
- Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills with strong self-driven and solution-oriented attitude.

- Familiarity with distributed systems platform like Azure Service Fabric;
