Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role
As a NinjaOne Senior DevOps Engineer, you are a key member of a smart and challenging DevOps team. Responsible for the upkeep and well-being of the NinjaOne cloud infrastructure, as well as deployment and release management of our suite of IT Operations SaaS products. You will collaborate with our Development, QA, Security Operations, and Corporate IT teams to ensure that our platform is up and running for our clients. We are a fast-paced growing company, you will ride the wave into the future of DevOps technology. Implementing CI/CD and creating platform as code across the NinjaOne infrastructure landscape. Helping us pioneer new regions and enable us to grow revenue, through projects and efficiencies.
Location - We are flexible on remote working from home, if you are located in the USA and reside in one of the following states - CA , CO , CT , FL , GA , *IL , KS , ME , MA , NJ , NC , OR , TX and VA . We have physical offices in Austin, TX and Tampa, FL, if you prefer a hybrid option.
What You'll be Doing

• Build and Deploy in AWS- develop infrastructure solutions and architecture to automate infrastructure deployments that are secure and compliant. Contribute to technology strategy and planning. Build and maintain a new Build CI/CD framework, and quality ecosystem with new testing and automation tools. Establish and maintain appropriate procedures and processes. Technical delivery of large-scale projects on all infrastructure technologies.
• Maintain Infrastructure- monitor alerts and metrics. Provide technical escalation points for production support during normal business and after-hours.
• Provide Service - support, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code, monitoring, alerting systems, and efforts around root cause analysis. Work assigned tickets and tasks to completion.
• Other duties as needed.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in technology- preferred but not required.
• 7+ years of experience working in a cloud-based DevOps environment.
• Experience with developing, building, securing, and operating sophisticated and highly automated Cloud infrastructure in AWS.
• Previous experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as AWS Cloud Formation, CDK- AWS code stack for creating AWS entities, Terraform, and SSM Scripts.
• Experience in agile tooling (Jira, Confluence, etc.), version control systems (Git, BitBucket), and deployment strategies that support both iterative and continuous development.
• Your expertise with CI/CD build pipeline toolsets, Circle CI a plus.
• Experience in developing, deploying, and integrating software solutions.
• Knowledgeable expert of cloud infrastructure and operations to ensure the scalability and maintainability of cloud native applications.
• Ability to coach a team, helping them improve their skills and grow their careers.
• Your Technology Deep Dive will include:
• 5+ years working in a*NIX Operating Systems: Linux, MacOS or other BSD-variants (Net/Open/Free), IBM AIX.
• 5+ years of scripting experience with one or more: Shell (bash, zsh, csh, pdksh, etc.), Go, Python, PERL, Tcl/Tk.
• 5+ years of production environment monitoring and alerting experience, along with change and configuration management.
• 5+ years working with one or more data store technologies, especially S3 and EFS.
• 3+ years with one or more message-oriented middleware/message queueing technologies- AWS SNS, SQS.
• Experience working with RDBMS - RDS, Aurora, Postgres
• NoSQL experience will make you a stand out candidate
• Previous experience with In-Memory- Caching - ELASTICACHE

*Due to operational policies, NinjaOne is unable to hire for this role within the city limits of Chicago. We will consider all qualified candidates who reside outside of the city proper or are willing to self-relocate.
Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to location, market demands, experience, job-related knowledge, and skills. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage and PTO. For roles based in California or Colorado, the base salary hiring range for this position is $130,000 to $180,000 per year.
