The Opportunity:
We're looking for an experienced Senior Developer to join our growing team and play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of our software applications. You will play a pivotal role in the full development lifecycle translating complex business requirements through developing secure, extendable, maintainable and elegant, scalable software solutions
The role holder will have a good oversight of the end product that is being delivered and have a deep insight into the technical knowhow to make key decisions.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of complex software features.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills and write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Ability to debug and maintain existing legacy code as well as develop new functionality and services to meet requirements within a service-oriented architecture.
- Advise on technologies and evolving techniques to the benefit of the products we produce
- Able to review peer’s code giving clear feedback and following best practices while be able to work in an agile team using SCRUM practices to deliver quality code at a pace
- Collaborate with other developers, designers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Participate in code reviews, identify potential issues, and suggest improvements.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest development tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the overall technical vision and direction of the development team.
- Mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to maintain application performance and stability.
- Good knowledge of software architecture, object-oriented development, design patterns and coding best practices
- Ability to articulate ideas clearly to the rest of the technical team
- Help the Product Managers/Scrum Masters in understanding technical implementations considerations for features on the back log, providing estimation and guidance
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a software developer.
- Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying software applications.
- Expertise in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
- Strong understanding of software design principles and best practices (e.g., OOP, SOLID principles).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.
