Role Specific Information

Job Description

This role is based at our Corporate Office in Menomonee Falls, WI. You’ll work onsite from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

About the Role

As Senior Designer, you will develop designs throughout all creative phases, from initial concept through final production. You will also serve as a design go-to in a cross-functional, cross-channel capacity.

What You’ll Do

• Solve creative challenges and build creative that delivers on business objectives and strategy

• Implement design within established creative vision

• Collaborate with Marketing partners on all projects as necessary to develop creative solutions

• Participate in and lead creative brainstorms

• Manage project objectives and execution with minimal direct supervision 

• Prepare creative presentation materials, present and review all creative with creative leads

• Collaborate with the Production Designer, ensuring proof comments are accurately completed

• Maintain style guides 

• Onboard and mentor the creative team, freelancers and interns

• Collaborate with Project Management to keep projects on schedule and assist with timeline development

• Maintain job notes on critical design details for future reference

• Maintain an organized file management system

• Collaborate with partners on long-term process and tool improvements

• Additional tasks may be assigned

What Skills You Have

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or relevant work experience 

• 4-8+ years of relevant work experience

• Excellent organization, time management and multitasking skills

• Effective verbal and written communication skills

• Mac proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe XD and/or Adobe After Effects 

• Strong understanding of typography and design composition

• Elevated design eye with an appreciation for thoughtful, detailed and consistent creative execution

Preferred

• Experience with retail workflow, processes and structure

• Experience mentoring and overseeing junior designers

• Demonstrated ability to present creative ideas in a professional, organized manner

• Strong understanding of photography composition
