Job Responsibilities :
We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of database technologies and a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining efficient, scalable, and secure database systems.
This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to support our data management needs and ensure the reliability and performance of our database infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain MariaDB or MySQL databases.
- Optimize database performance, indexing, and query execution.
- Implement security measures to ensure data integrity and access control.
- Develop automation tools for database backup, replication, and recovery.
- Collaborate with developers and system administrators on database solutions.
- Lead database migrations, upgrades, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Ensure high availability and scalability of database infrastructure.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Expert-level knowledge of MariaDB or MySQL database administration.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, stored procedures, and query optimization.
- Experience with database replication, clustering, and high availability strategies.
- Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (AWS RDS, Azure Database, etc.).
- Knowledge of database security best practices and data encryption methods.
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve database performance issues.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
