In your role as a Senior Data Scientist (m/f/d), you will get the chance to work in a cross-functional team and have a direct impact on the business by building state-of-the-art ML models. The problem space we work in relates to improving and optimizing last mile delivery operations. Forecasting demand, estimating delivery times, optimizing routes and delivery areas are examples of problems we work on.
You can expect to work on business-critical projects in close collaboration with various Flink stakeholders as well as with our Engineering teams. Get ready to be immersed in the fast-paced environment of quick commerce where data is a first-class citizen.
Job Description
- Lead and mentor team members in developing advanced models that generate insightful predictions and enable the steering of day-to-day business decisions
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify the best ways to integrate our Data Science products in our quick grocery and workforce apps
- Ensure and drive excellence within the Data Science team by ensuring projects follow best practices and proper monitoring of impact
- Analyze data to evaluate the impact of our models and to identify opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in applying diverse Data Science methodologies to solve real-world business problems in production environments using Python
- Proficient in writing and reading SQL (experience with Google BigQuery is a plus)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Bonus:
- Expertise in at least two of the following domains: last-mile delivery, logistics, optimization, time series analysis
- Experience with tools and technologies such as Kubernetes, Airflow, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., GCP)
- Familiarity with ML platforms like MLflow or Vertex AI
- Experience deploying, running, and monitoring real-time machine learning models
