Description
Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to the office - Markham Elevation Centre (MEC) or Oshawa Elevation Centre (OEC) three times per week, at minimum.
The Role
As a member of the Data Engineering organization, you will have the opportunity to work with a rich and rapidly growing dataset. Join our team responsible for providing the data that delivers key insights on how our systems perform in the field.
What You'll Do
Design, build, and maintain infrastructure and systems for data collection.
- Manage data collection configurations in existing systems.
- Monitor, optimize, and modernize existing methods of data capture.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Develop new processes and methods for configuring in-vehicle data capture.
Ensure data quality and integrity.
- Understand the signal in the vehicle, the purpose and use of the data, and ensure signal fitness for purpose.
- Develop, execute, and manage data validation tests.
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience with in-vehicle communication networks.
- Deep knowledge of CAN signals, vehicle networks, ARXML, signal test and validation.
- 5+ years of experience with big data technologies (such as Azure).
- Strong programming skills, particularly in Python.
- Experience querying and manipulating data (SQL and python).
- Ability to tackle problems quickly and completely.
- Ability to identify tasks which require automation and automate them.
- A demonstrable understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.
