Your Role and Impact

HYPR is looking for a Senior Software Engineer who thrives on challenges and is eager to contribute wherever the team needs them. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain key product components while collaborating with peers and contributing as an individual contributor.

You'll work on HYPR's industry-leading security products, deployed at several Fortune 500 companies. These include:

• Next-generation application management and analytics
• Open Standards implementations of passwordless authentication to help customers build secure environments
• W3C-compliant authentication servers

What you will do in this role

• Design, develop, and deploy infrastructure to support an event-driven architecture, including data origination, validation, collection and distribution via SaaS services
• Data visualization and communication – Distill data into actionable business insights
• Own features end-to-end – from understanding requirements and designing solutions to deployment and production support
• Implement comprehensive automated testing at the component level and collaborate with SDET(s)
• Participate in on-call rotation, handling initial triage and escalating issues when necessary
• Research new technologies and solutions to improve existing products and explore new directions

Required QualificationsExpert-Level

• Java SE 11+ and Spring
• Data pipelines - AWS kinesis, Lambda, S3, Redshift, Spark or similar toolset from a different cloud platform
• Data visualization tools - QuickSight or similar
• Cloud-first development experience (AWS, Azure, or similar)
• One Infra As Code (IAC) tool (Terraform, Helm, AWS Cloud formation)
• ETL/event driven architectures: structure, performance, change management, observability.

Strong

• Understanding of data structures, clean code, modularity, and design patterns
• Understanding of API-first systems and 12-factor design principles
• Kubernetes or another container orchestration platform
• One major CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab)
• Knowledge of various testing methodologies including unit and integration testing 

Preferred

• Authentication protocols knowledge is useful - OAuth, SAML, WebAuthn, PKI, Kerberos
• One major JS framework (Angular, React, or Vue)
• Relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL)
• One dynamically typed language (Python, Ruby, or similar)

Experience

• 10+ years of development designing, building and maintaining enterprise web based platforms that services >100K users.  Can be SaaS or On premise.

Education

• BS/MS in computer science or software engineering field.

• Full Time Opportunity: Yes
• The core meeting hours for this position are from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Attendance is required for meetings scheduled between 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM. These meetings may be attended remotely via Zoom. Outside of these scheduled meetings, working hours are flexible. 
• This position is a hybrid role. Employees are required to work in the office a minimum of two days per week—specifically Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The remaining workdays offer flexible remote options.
