DIVISION:

CorporatePOSITION SUMMARYThe Senior Data Analyst works in our Corporate Data and Analytics team. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in driving the development of creative solutions and analytic insights for a variety of stakeholders. While in this role, you will have the opportunity to learn from others within the Data Intelligence organization, help others on their analytical journey, expand your technical skillset, and will be a leading resource creating innovative solutions needed for end users throughout the organization.
The preferred location for this position is Appleton, WI; exceptions may be considered for location based on relevance of candidate experience. Candidates not located within Appleton, WI will be expected to travel on a regular basis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Analytical Ability:

  • Experienced analytics resource providing support and direction to others on the analytics team on varying tasks and projects:
    • Data acquisition, cleansing and structuring
    • Conducting thorough analysis, exploring nuances, and considering inputs and outputs from various perspectives
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define analytical requirements, identify key metrics, and develop analytical solutions to address business challenges.
    • Ticket management & completion
    • Thorough understanding of business processes, data structures, and how to leverage these things to create meaningful data-driven insights
    • Development of analytical processes to meet business needs while ensuring accuracy & maintenance of company data standards and expectations
  • Develops and maintains dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate analytical findings and insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Completing business asks for analytical deep-dives and exploratory analytics.

Resource Development:

  • Serves as a contributor and innovator for the Data Analytics organization
    • Brings innovative concepts and approaches to work to the team.
    • Brings business acumen and technical expertise to the team to understand the needs of the stakeholders and help form solutions for end users
    • Works to develop personal skills, both technical and interpersonal to foster a collaborative environment.
    • Stays current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analysis and the data science space to provide recommendations to continuously improve and introduce capabilities to drive scale and innovation.

Collaboration:

  • Must possess a strong ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to build rapport and establish credibility
    • Will work with more team members to develop personal skillset and help improve how tasks are completed in various areas of the organization.
    • Will help mentor and train new team members on business processes, tooling, and company standards for coding & solution creation

Execution:

  • The responsibilities this individual will have include:
    • Completing and iterating on analytics for stakeholders within the product lines in a manner that meet the needs of the end user while ensuring accuracy & data standards
    • Continual learning on various data modeling methods, data visualization development, & other skills to apply to various software platforms
    • Take direction from more senior team members to help advance analytical projects
    • Guiding new members of the team through documentation and helping guide the tasks they perform
    • Presenting the results of analyses in a story that helps drive decisions with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of organizations
    • Strong analytical capabilities in SQL, geo-spatial analytics, data visualization tools, data storytelling, & a proficient ability to use R or Python

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics or a related field involving problem solving and critical thinking, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years working in analysis-based roles
  • Experience developing and presenting effective data visualizations that are used in decision-making situations.
  • Basic understanding of database concepts and data modeling principles.
  • Strong SQL, data management, data ingestion, and data visualization abilities.
  • Experience in R, Python or other object-oriented programming for data analysis.
  • Strong business acumen with a supply chain/transportation background being preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate analytical and data-related challenges.
  • Attention to detail and being able to look at a problem from multiple angles and perspectives.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate analytical outcomes to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
