About the Role:

At Motive, we believe that the best way to show the impact of Motive’s technology and partnership is by sharing and celebrating our customers’ stories. The Senior Customer Marketing Manager at Motive plays a crucial role as the primary point of contact for customer marketing initiatives. You will be critical to scaling our existing customer marketing program by creating strategic, methodical customer marketing plans to demonstrate the impact that Motive is having on its customers to make their work safer, more productive, and more profitable.

What You'll Do:

  • Build relationships with Motive’s customers globally to develop and curate compelling customer success stories, including case studies, video testimonials, press releases, and customer blogs.
  • Create assets for the marketing, sales, and customer success teams to highlight the transformative impact of the Motive platform. 
  • Work closely with the Communications, Content Marketing, Integrated Campaigns, and Field & Event Marketing teams to help fulfill PR and AR requests, event requests, internal communications requests, webinar requests, etc. 
  • Manage global customer appreciation campaigns, including vendor management for online stores and customer gifts, ensuring customers feel valued and recognized for their partnership with Motive.
  • Build and manage Motive’s customer event at our annual customer conference. 
  • Encourage marketing and field adoption of new customer marketing assets by presenting in internal sales meetings and ensuring alignment with sales and marketing strategies.
  • Keep quarterly updates of customer logos and customer testimonial assets, and ensure customer assets on the Motive website, in sales and marketing materials, etc. are continuously updated and accurately represent our customer base.

What We're Looking For:

  • 8+ years of customer marketing experience, with a strong focus on customer marketing, content creation, and relationship building. 
  • A deep understanding and appreciation of Motive’s customers and potential customers. 
  • Strong storytelling and writing skills, with the ability to clearly articulate the value of Motive’s solutions, the challenges faced by our customers, and the impact our partnership has had on our customers’ business. 
  • Results-oriented with a strategic mindset and the ability to ruthlessly prioritize, plan methodically, and remain detail-oriented.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with all levels of executives and management both within Motive and with customers’ organizations.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with marketing, sales, customer success teams, and external customers.
  • Fast learner, decisive, and innovative thinker, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to forecast and keep budget updated and proactively communicate budget needs and/or concerns. 
  • Ability to understand, communicate, and make changes to plans based on data, including but not limited to Amplitude, WordPress, Salesforce, ReferenceEdge, Tableau, Wistia, etc. 
  • Previous experience in B2B and/or enterprise software marketing.
  • Positive teamwork skills with enthusiasm and a get-it-done attitude.
  • Spanish fluency is a plus but not required.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 20-25% of the year. 


Pay Transparency
Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units. The base compensation range for this role is:

$127,000$195,000 USD
