Job Description
1. Be the local technical and software lead for European Tech Center, and as technical project manager to interface with 3rd party software partners to (a) support business and corporate software initiatives; (b) support BGU/ATD customers’ projects management and execution; (c) interface with software SME from customers and industrial/standards groups, to achieve desired business and corporate objectives.
2. Represent WNC in certain open software standards and/or open platforms to include but not limited to Prpl, RDK-B, Plume, OpenWRT, EasyMesh, PrplMesh, PrplWRT
3. Drive awareness and influence of WNC software value add across all ecosystem partners from SoC level up, across the full stack, to the application layer to the service provider customers.
4. Participate in collaborative technical discussions that focus on software user experience, implementation, and issue handling
5. Responsible for prototyping, developing, and troubleshooting software locally and remotely
6. Collection, clarification and interpretation of customer software requirements
7. The technical communication interface between European customers and HQ to mitigate any communication gap and expedite S/W development for projects
8. Visit European customers regularly to clarify, drive and engage across all software elements for all industries
9. Collect market and competitor information to help HQ to drive S/W evolution and benchmark
10. Guidance on software solutions for BD activities
11. European lead across all support and test activities (internal and external lab, field test, debug &log collection and analysis, and full regression test planning, implementation, conformance and certification)
12. Support Europe technology center to determine local solution requirements
13. Maintain active relationships with customer team to understand engineering requirements and to respond timely
14. Perform demonstration for customer on project features and sub-features, and mitigate competitor threat and disruption
15. Deliver technical minutes for all customer technical meetings/workshops/calls
16. Explore and get involved in customer use case, industry planning to help support product definition
17. Share expertise across engineering teams based on customer engagement
18. Influence customer technical teams in support of WNC’s solutions
