About the RoleThe Corporates and Trade Expert team is part of the Global Securities, Trade and Corporates team within the Go-to-market group. We execute Swift’s strategy, uses in-depth expertise to accelerate our market share, and drives usage and adoption of products and services. We develop and share a thought leadership on market trends and evolution, to contribute to the development of relevant products and services for our clients, and to design and support the Go-to-Market strategy. We engage intensively with our customers on the future of the corporate offering. This group works closely with strategy, product groups, business development, services and other expert groups (for example, payments, financial crime and compliance and standards teams) towards an aligned set of objectives.
We are looking for a Senior Corporates and Trade Expert to lead the development of our corporate business across the EMEA region. You will be responsible for defining and driving our corporates go-to-market plans locally through campaigns and projects, in collaboration with the product and regional business development organisation.
In this role you will have the opportunity to influence the industry, our product evolution, and engage our customers to understand their strategic direction. As an experienced professional, you should be a self-starter, able to work collaboratively with our internal partners and clients, communicate our vision to the industry and clients. You will act as a single point of contact and be a subject matter expert, supporting our clients (banks and corporates), vendors and our sales force with your wide expertise in your assigned region.

We are looking for an extremely motivated and self-driven individual with a real passion for the corporates market business.

What to expect:

  • Develop and execute the regional plans across the assigned region including ancillary products such as financial crime and compliance, reference data, business intelligence services, and 20022 standards adoption including APIs.
  • Act as the corporates to bank expert for the Swift corporates offering, drive adoption of current products and services, engage with our customers and partners on the product roadmap and future strategy engagement.
  • Ensure alignment of our go-to-market and business development activities with our evolving global strategy. Understand market and customer insights deeply and ensure fit between strategy and execution in the region.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, media engagements and conference programs, industry engagement in the corporates and trade segment. Make full use of communication tools such as media, conferences, publications and thought leadership.
  • Ensure deep understanding of the competition, market trends, and the changing operating and regulatory environment across the region.
  • Initiate, own and lead projects, campaigns and initiatives that drive increased relevance, product usage and adoption, revenue growth and market share.

What will make you successful?

  • Minimum 7 years' experience in corporate banking, cash management, treasury and trade, preferably gained in a marketing, strategy, business development, consulting or product management roles
  • Exceptional strategic B2B marketing process, formal problem solving and strategic skills and mindset. Insights are based on a sound understanding of the needs, problems and behaviors of key customer segments and articulated and executed as structured and scalable campaigns and/or projects.
  • Financial technology experience gained in ERP, cash management, treasury, trade, network and/or platforms. Expertise in APIs, is welcome.
  • Project leadership experience gained in matrix and cross-functional environments with a track record of delivering complex commercial projects.
  • Experience working in a diverse, multi-cultural environment and across geographies and teams.
  • Comfort with high levels of ambiguity and the skills to prioritise within a rapidly changing environment.
  • Executive presence - excellent internal and external interpersonal and networking skills including at senior management level.
  • Communicates strategy and key messages with clarity, consistency and confidence: has impact.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, native English would be a benefit. Any additional language is a benefit
  • The flexibility to do short travels on a regular basis.
