The Senior Corporate Accountant challenges in a Few Words:
In order to properly support our operations in an international scope, we are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Accountant who will be responsible of the financial accounting and month-end tasks for the North American entities. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for maintaining high quality financial information to support the growth of the Group.

As a Senior Corporate Accountant your key accountabilities will involve:
- Participate to the month-end process of the Group:
- Reconcile and analyse balance sheet accounts and key P&L accounts of the Canadian, US and Mexican entities applying ASPE standards.
- Document, investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and post journal entries of month-end closing process accurately and timely.
- Lead inventory tracking, reconciliation and reporting.
- Assist with the investigation, documentation and compliance of the group’s unusual transactions.
- Reconcile the intercompany transactions and communicate and resolve discrepancies with the parties involved on a timely basis.
- Participate to the month-end closing process of other companies of the Group, as needed.
- Coordinate and account for the bi-monthly payroll process of the North American entities:
- Provide the financial information required to the Canadian and US payroll providers in a timely matter.
- Coordinate other information to provide with the HR department.
- Review the payroll information prepared by the payroll providers.
- Prepare and post the payroll journal entries for the Canadian, US and Mexican entities.
- Analysis and reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts related to payroll (i.e. insurance, bonuses, withholding taxes, etc.
- Participate to the training of the junior accountant and to the review of their tasks.
- Participate to the North American sales tax remittances.
- Prepare the year-end audit requests and support the audit processes.
- Assist the tax team with tax audits and tax returns.
- Prepare financial information for the annual insurance renewal process.
- Support any adhoc project requests.
Qualifications
As a Senior Accountant your experience and qualifications will include:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Accounting certification CPA or equivalent, an asset.
- 5 years of financial accounting experience in a multinational environment, with multi-currency and intercompany transactions.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), IFRS or ASPE, an asset
- Experience with inventory accounting, an asset.
- Experience using an ERP, D365 is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel
- Detail-oriented and analytical.
- Bilingual – Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written.
