Job Summary
This position is responsible for our brand voice, ensuring every word we utter resonates with our audience and drives conversions.
You'll be a key player in crafting compelling narratives that captivate and convert. From crafting irresistible email campaigns and crafting attention-grabbing ad copy to polishing website content and ensuring every piece shines with clarity and impact, your words will be the lifeblood of our marketing efforts.
What you will do
- Become a grammar guru: Masterfully polish every piece of content, ensuring flawless grammar, spelling, and syntax.
- Shape compelling narratives: Refine content for the perfect tone, voice, and flow, ensuring every word resonates with our audience.
- Be a champion of accuracy: Meticulously fact-check all content, ensuring it's accurate, up-to-date, and reflects our brand perfectly.
- Craft captivating content: Write short-form masterpieces for print, web, and marketing materials that grab attention and drive engagement.
- Collaborate for success: Work seamlessly across departments to ensure consistent messaging and a unified brand voice.
- Uphold our brand standards: Champion our in-house style guide and ensure all content aligns with our brand identity.
- Optimize for impact: Produce SEO-friendly content that converts leads into loyal customers.
- Fuel creative campaigns: Brainstorm and collaborate with the marketing team to develop fresh, innovative, and impactful content strategies.
- Become a master editor: Refine and polish all forms of content, ensuring flawless grammar, impeccable spelling, and a consistent brand voice.
- Unleash your creativity: Write short-form content that grabs attention and drives action.
- Collaborate with brilliant minds: Work closely with marketers and content creators to bring our brand story to life.
- Make a real impact: Contribute to campaigns that generate leads, build brand awareness, and drive sales.
Travel/Physical Demands
- Travel typically less than 10%. Office environment. No special physical demands required.
Qualifications
Must have:
- Typically 5 to 7 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.
- Typically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in related discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. May hold one or more industry certifications; professional certification may be required to advance.
- Strong editorial, proofreading, and writing skills
- Experience editing a range of content including thought leadership, emails, video scripts, and ad copy
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Experience with developmental editing, proofreading, and fact checking
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
- Passion for writing and editing with an excellent portfolio of work
- Knowledge of SEO copywriting best practices
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong understanding of industry practices
- High proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures
- Good planning/organizational skills and techniques
- Good decision making, analysis and problem solving skills with ability to multi-task
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good presentation and public speaking skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good conflict resolution skills and ability to deliver difficult messages
- Ability to build partnerships at all levels within the company, begin to build partnerships externally
- Resolve complex issues in effective ways
Nice to have:
The posted range for this position is $75000-87,000 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, current skills, location/labor market, internal equity, etc. This position is eligible for a target bonus not reflected in the posted range.
