We’re seeking a Freelance Creative Copywriter with a flair for storytelling and a passion for home and design to join our dynamic team on a freelance MAT Leave Coverage estimated for a 16-week temporary basis, with the possibility of freelance work after the role wraps. As our Freelance Creative Copywriter, you will own all organic and paid copy needs across our portfolio of brands. From crafting compelling email campaigns to creating captivating Meta ads, your words will shape our brand voice, drive audience engagement, and amplify brand affinity.
You’ll be reporting directly to our Director of Design & Content, collaborating closely with our Brand Marketing Coordinator. Our offices are based in Denver, CO, and Dallas, TX, but this is a remote role open to applicants within the U.S.
What You’ll Do:
As our Senior Copywriter (Temporary), you’ll step in to maintain brand consistency and drive engagement through clear, compelling copy across various channels. You’ll support multiple brands, ensuring their voices are distinct and on-point, while meeting deadlines and maintaining a smooth workflow.
- Drive Brand Voice: Keep brand voices strong and consistent across email, paid media, site copy, and other marketing materials across our family of brands.
- Email Campaigns: Write engaging copy for ~5-6 weekly email campaigns per brand, from promo emails to evergreen content.
- Paid Media Support: Craft concise, compelling copy for paid ads and digital marketing materials.
- Site and Product Copy: Collaborate with teams to support key site initiatives and product launches with clear, on-brand messaging.
- Adapt to Different Voices: Flexibly write in the voice of each brand, ensuring consistency and relevance across channels.
What You’ll Bring:
To succeed in this role, you should be a versatile and efficient writer who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while keeping copy fresh and on-brand.
- Experience: 5+ years of copywriting experience with a focus on e-commerce, digital marketing, and campaign copy. Experience with multiple brands is a plus.
- Strong Attention to Detail: Able to produce high-quality copy with no errors, even when working quickly.
- Brand Voice Flexibility: Skilled in adapting your writing to different brand tones and voices.
- Collaboration: Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and managing timelines across multiple projects.
- Efficiency Under Pressure: Ability to write quickly and efficiently while maintaining creativity and brand consistency.
- Passion for Design: An appreciation for home decor and an eye for detail in messaging. Bonus points if you are well versed in the language of home, furniture, and design.
Additional Details:
- Temporary Position: 16-week duration with the potential for freelance support after.
- Targeted compensation range for this role: $35-$40 hourly rate, based on experience.
- This is a full-time exempt position headquartered in Denver, CO. Candidates in Dallas, TX and New York, NY will also be considered. Remote candidates considered.
