YOUR MISSION

  • Work with Procurement and Inventory teams to ensure accurate product costs are included in PO transactions and landed inventory values using the Moving Average Cost (MAC) methodology
  • Provide analysis of product margins based on current and projected costs; collaborate with the Merchandising team in the development of future season margin projections based on forecasted product assortment plans
  • Purchase Price Variance (PPV) Analysis: Validate invoice timing and accuracy, analyze cost discrepancies, and identify root causes.
  • Periodically review and update standard cost assumptions for future products by reviewing and analyzing actual cost results
  • Prepare and maintain Internal Control documentation related to the product costing functions for the ERP system.
  • Partner with Accounting management to drive CoGS validation for month-end close
  • Collaborate on inventory-controlling activities and provide audit support
  • Assist with the development of standardized best practices in reporting and control methods
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within financial reporting and analysis.
  • Develop tools, solutions, and ad-hoc reports to support decision-making across the business as well as enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and general support within the Wholesale Controlling team as needed.

YOUR TALENT

  • 5+ years’ relevant work experience
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Proven experience in cost controlling and analysis, preferably in a wholesale or retail environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze large amounts of data, join data from various sources, and provide actionable recommendations
  • Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to travel occasionally to warehouse facilities for audit purposes
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel a must
  • SAP S/4HANA knowledge a plus
  • Experience with Power BI for data visualization and analysis is highly desirable.
  • Well organized, reliable, and efficient with the ability to prioritize
  • Outgoing team player with initiative, integrity, reliability, and ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a professional & positive attitude
  • Sense of urgency and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
