Title:  Senior Contract Specialist II and III 
Client:  Federal Agency
Location:  Tuscan, AZ (Onsite)
Clearance:  Secret
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; the applicant must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration.

Work Schedule: 8 am – 5 pm
Work Day:  Monday – Friday

Our client seeks a Senior Contract Specialist to support end-to-end procurement processes, including pre-award market research, solicitation preparation, contract awards, modifications, and closeouts for Services, Supplies, and Construction contracts. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, DAFFARS, and other applicable regulations while managing contracts within federal acquisition systems.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research, draft SOWs/PWSs, and prepare solicitation documents using CON-IT (or other contract writing systems).
  • Coordinate with requiring activities, industry partners, and stakeholders throughout the procurement lifecycle.
  • Manage post-award functions, including modifications, performance monitoring, and contract closeouts.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DFARS, DAFFARS, and agency policies.
  • Utilize key systems, including:
    • DEAMS, PIEE (WAWF, EDA, CLS, JAM, SPM)
    • SAM, CPARS, GSA eBuy, Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat

Requirements:

  • Contract Specialist III - Must have 10+ years of federal contracting experience (preferably with the Department of the Air Force).
  • 3+ years of base-level support in commercial supplies/services and minor construction contracting (preferred).

 

  • Contract Specialist II - Must have 6+ years of federal contracting experience (preferably with the Department of the Air Force
  • 2+ years of base-level support in commercial supplies/services and minor constructions (preferred).

 

  • Both positions require a DAWIA Contracting Professional, FAC-C Professional, or equivalent certification.
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree (in any field).
  • Should have proficiency in CON-IT, PIEE, DEAMS, and other federal procurement systems.
