The Opportunity
SEO Sr Consultant is a strategic central role for GBM. This role will own the SEO strategy, technical/site, optimization, link building strategy and coordinate with content teams. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter with a willingness to operate at both strategic levels and to manage tactical execution with a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.
You will need to leverage your expertise to steward change management routines.
How You'll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)
- Keen attention to detail is essential to ensure thoroughness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Ability to work in an Agile working approach.
- Performs website audits, manage a library of keywords and develops related recommendations to ensure SEO best practice compliance, improving efficiencies and reduce redundancies.
- Provides competitive and market opportunity analyses as they relate to search intent, competitor niche saturation, backlink profiles, and SERP anomalies.
- Develops monthly performance reports using programs like Google Analytics, Omniture, Site Catalyst, Excel and others as needed, delivering insights for improvement in SEO performance.
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods.
- Experience deriving technical insight from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and directly from SERPs.
- Knowledge of technical, usability, and content-related aspects of a website and other digital properties including PathFactory,(keywords, H1, H2, taxonomy and topics of interest, etc.) and their impact on search.
- Proven ability to interact successfully with cross-functional teams and build collaborative relationships.
- Ability to work with legal, compliance and business partners to ensure content and tactics have appropriate controls and brand safety.
- Financial services experience a plus.
- Outstanding organizational, project management, people, and communication skills, including strong writing abilities and proven experience communicating key value messages to a variety of audiences both internal and external.
- Ability to prioritize, problem solve, multitask, and work independently in a dynamic, rapidly changing workplace with a bias towards action.
- Strong proficiency in sourcing and analyzing the data needed to make effective SEO optimization as well as a high comfort level in operating with and making decisions.
What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)
- 7+ years of experience in search engine optimization and well versed in all aspects of SEO, content development and technical abilities.
- Proficient understanding of media channels and how they work together holistically with SEO.
- Current knowledge of SEO practices and techniques is fundamental to this role.
- You have a solid understanding of SEO strategy and Google ranking factors.
- You're results-driven and prioritize impact over perfection.
- Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMRush and other SEO tools. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment that is dedicated to marketing excellence.
- 2-3 years' experience using SEO tools, Brightedge/Conductor and MarketMuse.
- Working knowledge of WorkFront, PathFactory, and AEM is preferrable.

The salary range for applicants for this position is $87,900 - $117,200.
