Senior Compensation Analyst
Job Description Summary
The Senior Compensation Analyst will be responsible for compensation analytics, data management, and administration of compensation programs. This role involves modelling global compensation and financial data in Excel and PowerBI, conducting compensation reporting and managing large sets of employee data. You will partner with leaders in the Compensation team, HR and the business to support data-driven decision-making and provide actionable insights.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Modeling & Forecasting: Create and maintain compensation models in Excel or PowerBI to project annual incentive results, budget for salary increases and support financial planning related to compensation programs.
- Data Management: Assess, validate and clean employee data that impacts compensation programs in collaboration with People Partners and HR operations.
- Reporting: Maintain compensation reporting dashboards for leadership and assist in maintaining the existing suite of compensation reports, including identifying opportunities to enhance day to day efficiency through improved reporting.
- Global Compensation Projects:
- Support projects focused on improving compensation programs, such as new plans, rewards statements, and other ad-hoc projects.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compensation policies and procedures.
- Provide support in the annual compensation and employee performance review process.
- Compensation Analytics:
- Conduct analysis of compensation data, including base pay, cash incentives, equity and other rewards elements to provide insights and recommendations.
- Consolidate and manipulate data from and to various systems in order to perform analysis and provide actionable reports and summaries based on customer needs.
- Prepare and present reports on compensation trends and recommendations.
- Benchmarking & Job Evaluations:
- Conduct market research and analysis to determine competitive compensation packages.
- Evaluate job positions by analyzing job descriptions and specifications.
- Participate in salary surveys and analyze data to ensure competitive positioning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Math, Data Analytics or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in compensation, people analytics or a related field; experience at a consulting firm is a plus.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or in progress is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management skills
- Proficiency in data visualization & reporting tools (PowerBI, Tableau) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle sensitive information & employee data with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HRIS, preferably Workday and compensation software is a plus
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of compensation laws and regulations.
- Hybrid arrangement – Must be able to work in NYC or Chicago Office 2-3 days per week.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $97,750.00 - $115,000.00
