This role, as part of the Corporate Communication team, will be responsible for managing communication strategies and plans—including consulting, writing, project management, and execution— in support of issues management, change management, and operational communications response. This role ensures advisors are well-informed about issues impacting their businesses and clients, thereby minimizing client dissatisfaction and mitigating operational and reputational risk.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of strategic thinking, strong writing and flawless operational and tactical execution. Is this a fast-paced environment? Yes. Is this a role for a person who enjoys working with people? Absolutely. In this position, will you have the opportunity to partner with senior leaders and their leadership teams? Definitely. Will you be a part of a team that is supportive, fun, and flexible? 100%.

The role requires someone who can prioritize and manage time effectively, operates well in ambiguity, thrives in an ever- changing environment, has a friendly can-do attitude, and pays attention to detail. We’re looking for an empathetic and responsive communicator to implement communication strategies to address urgent, sensitive and often complex issues impacting our business and our clients.

This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Issues and Reputation Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with marketing, corporate communications and business units across the company to implement required, operational, urgent and/or sensitive communications for our advisor clients and, at times, their end-investors clients.

  • Provide communication support during technology incidents or other business disruptions, ensuring advisors and their clients are kept informed about the incident's status and resolution.

  • Support frontline teams with communications resources and timely updates to respond to issues and build trust with our clients.

  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of quarterly earnings communications, ensuring clients are informed about the company’s financial performance.

  • Manage communication projects from inception to delivery, utilizing centralized intake and project management systems, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and on brand.

  • Maintain and update the communications calendar to reflect upcoming initiatives and deadlines.

  • Work closely with various business units, digital, analytics, and marketing teams while leveraging resources across the firm.

  • Have an eye for detail, with strong editing capabilities.

  • Work collaboratively with a wide variety of personalities across a large organization.

  • Embrace our mission and champion our cultural values.

  • A self-starter, able to see projects through from ideation to completion.

What are we looking for?

We want strong collaborators who can deliver a world-class client experience. We are looking for people who thrive in a fast-paced environment, are client-focused, team oriented, and are able to execute in a way that encourages creativity and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Degree in communications, journalism, a related discipline, or equivalent additional experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • 3+ years of project management experience

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Preferences:

  • Previous experience in financial services is preferred.

  • Highly organized with a minimum of 5 years' communication experience, preferably in Corporate Communication

  • Coordinating and aligning teams to reach a unified goal
