Job Description
About this job:
At PartnerRe, we are committed to delivering excellence in reinsurance — and that means having exceptional people on our team. As a Senior Claims Analyst, you’ll play a key role in evaluating and managing a diverse portfolio of standard reinsurance claims across multiple lines of business. You'll work within a collaborative, supportive, and global environment that values integrity, performance, expertise, and agility — the core values that define who we are and how we work.
This role offers the opportunity to engage with experienced professionals across underwriting, actuarial, and client management functions, contributing to high-quality outcomes for our clients and stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of standard treaty reinsurance claims, including lines such as Professional Liability, General Liability, Workers’ Compensation, and Property.
- Analyze and register incoming loss advices, technical accounts, and cash-loss requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance within the scope of assigned accounts.
- Review and assess the adequacy of reported exposures and recommend appropriate reserve strategies.
- Interpret complex claims information and apply sound judgment to claim handling and resolution strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external partners — including underwriters, actuaries, brokers, and clients — to support effective claims resolution.
- Prepare and communicate timely and insightful updates for management through regular reporting (daily, weekly, quarterly).
- Perform data quality reviews and maintain data integrity across claims systems and processes.
- Administer claims in accordance with departmental procedures using tools such as SICS/nt, workflow platforms, and reporting tools (e.g., Business Objects).
Qualifications
About you:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in claims administration or reinsurance claims, with a strong grasp of standard insurance and/or reinsurance principles.
- Experience handling U.S. claims exposures — with exposure to or interest in Professional Lines considered a strong asset.
- A proven ability to manage complexity, make well-reasoned decisions, and operate with efficiency and attention to detail.
- A growth mindset with strong learnability — eager to stay curious, absorb new information quickly, and apply learning in real time.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word; familiarity with claims or reinsurance platforms (SICS/nt. and Business Objects preferred), workflow systems, and reporting tools.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and adaptable, with the confidence to work independently while knowing when to seek collaboration or support.
