The Senior Certinia (fka FinancialForce) Application Administrator leads the administration, optimization, and support of our Certinia solution within the Salesforce platform. They are a key member of the IT team, responsible for the technical leadership of our Certinia application, working closely with Finance, IT, and Business Operations teams to ensure system stability, scalability, and alignment with company objectives. They have extensive experience with Certinia ERP and PSA modules, strong expertise in Salesforce administration, and a deep understanding of professional services and financial management workflows.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO:
Application Configuration and Customization:
Design, implement, test, and oversee technical solutions to meet business requirements and improve system functionality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Finance, Sales) and Technical Program Managers to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Partner with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve complex technical issues, evaluate new features, and implement solutions.
Collaborate with Data Engineering to ensure application data integrity and quality for the purposes of reporting and analytics.
Application Administration:
Maintain multiple Certinia and Salesforce environments including development, testing, and production, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
Contribute to identifying application change control best practices and ensure adherence to them when deploying changes across environments.
Stay abreast of Certinia and Salesforce releases, manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
Develop and maintain documentation for system processes, configurations and customizations, and user guides.
Work as a team with the Salesforce System Administrator to ensure solutions complement both systems.
Leadership and Application Roadmap:
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Contribute to long-term application strategy and roadmap, including evaluating new technologies and making recommendations for system enhancements or remediations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
Mentor and lead more junior team members, fostering their professional growth and technical skills.
Project Management and Execution:
Participate in Agile activities, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Work with Technical Program Managers to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks using project management tools like JIRA.
Develop and maintain project management artifacts, including work schedules, dependency diagrams, standard operating procedures and risk assessments.
Collaborate with Change Management specialists to develop and execute communication and training strategies for system changes.
Incident Response & Disaster Recovery:
Provide Tier 2 & 3 support for user issues, troubleshooting and resolving critical application problems.
Work with IT Infrastructure to implement and manage backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and business continuity.

WHAT WE EXPECT YOU’VE ALREADY DONE:
Technical Skills:
Proven experience in configuring, optimizing, and maintaining Certinia ERP and PSA modules across multiple environments, including GL, AP, AR, Revenue Management, Billing, Resource Management, Workspaces and Project Management,
Advanced knowledge of Certinia and Salesforce architecture, data modeling, development practices, and integration methodologies.
The ability to navigate, understand, and interpret Apex and Visual force code for advanced troubleshooting, deeper system analysis, and collaborating effectively with development teams when needed.
Proficiency in Salesforce configuration including: workflows, process builder, flows, validation rules, formulas, custom objects and fields, security settings, Lightning Experience, and App Builder.
Hands-on experience with data migrations, integration tools (e.g., Mulesoft, Boomi), reporting tools (Tableau, Salesforce Reports and Dashboards, Power BI) and APIs.
Strong understanding of how to manage user access, permissions, profiles, roles, and data security within Certinia and Salesforce.
Deep experience with implementing and managing system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
Strong understanding of IT change control processes and Salesforce Change Sets and deployment processes.
Experience with application backup and recovery tools and procedures.
Business Skills:
Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in using project management and work tracking tools such as JIRA.
Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience participating in or leading Agile teams.
Track record of leadership and mentoring skills, with experience guiding more junior team members.
Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and drive root cause analysis & resolution.
Experience in vendor management and collaborating with third-party service providers.
Familiarity with end user change management processes and the ability to develop effective communication and training strategies.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
5+ years of applicable Salesforce and Certinia administration and support experience.
Ability to work remotely.
Ability to work on-site occasionally as needed.
Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
Ability to work non-standard work hours occasionally as necessary.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The estimated salary range for this role is $82,000 - $164,500 USD per year. This salary range is provided as required by local and state law as applicable. Individual salaries vary on a number of factors including but not limited to geography, skills, education, experience and unique qualifications where applicable.
Bonuses are awarded at Point B’s discretion and are based upon individual contributions and overall firm performance.
