  • Stay informed on industry trends and category developments; actively engage with the broader market through networking and events to strengthen competitive and market intelligence.

  • Conduct in-depth market research and deliver data-driven insights to refine eBay’s category positioning and deepen understanding of the end-to-end customer journey.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to execute strategic initiatives that elevate both buyer and seller satisfaction.

  • Manage and grow relationships with top sellers, brands, and external partners to drive substantial business outcomes.

  • Monitor and analyze category performance, providing actionable recommendations to optimize growth, efficiency, and customer experience.

  • Ensure robust inventory coverage and identify assortment opportunities; partner with Account Management and Business Development to close gaps and expand offerings.

  • Define and track key category health metrics, including pricing competitiveness, inventory breadth, discoverability, customer satisfaction, and overall user experience.

  • Align trading strategies and promotional programs in partnership with regional teams, global marketing, and account managers.

What you will bring:

  • 5-7 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or category management within retail or consumer products. eCommerce experience is required.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of ambiguity.

  • Customer- and data-centric mindset with a proven ability to turn insights into impactful strategies.

  • Passion for recommerce and familiarity with the industry landscape and players.

  • Entreprenural spirit with a results-oriented approach to achieving KPIs.

  • Skilled in stakeholder management, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration.
