About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Lending Development Consultant in Personal Lending & Retail Services as part of our Retail Services Team. We partner with retail merchants to issue private label credit cards to consumers for use at their merchant location. This role will personally develop new retail partners within a territory comprised of Illinois, Wisconsin, and NW Indiana.

In this role, you will:
- Lead in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Business Lending Development functional area and contribute to large-scale planning related to functional area deliverables.
- Review and analyze moderately complex business challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors within Business Lending Development functional area.
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet project deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements within Business Lending Development functional area.
- Collaborate and consult with Business Lending Development peers, colleagues, and middle level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Conduct Lead Business Lending Development projects or serve as a mentor for less experienced individuals.
- Manage the sales of Wells Fargo Retail Services private label lending to new merchants within the specified territory.
- Select and develop sources, leads, and contacts.
- Solicit new business sales opportunities by proactively calling prospect pools in given territory and conducting in-person sales meeting at their place of business within the territory.
- Generate strong new business sales and relationships for usage of our products through effective cold calling and in-person new business development meetings with the prospective retailers throughout designated geographic territory.
- Complete & adhere to sales metrics which measure effective calls, meetings, and new business acquisition.
- Overnight travel for sales meetings within given geographic territory.
- May participate in trade shows and sales events as required.
- May mentor other sales team members in skills and techniques.
Required Qualifications:
- 4+ years of Business Lending Development experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 3+ years of business-to-business sales experience
- Ability to learn sales plans, product lines and services.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- 3 + years of strong prospecting, sales, negotiation, and influence skills
- 3 + years of new business development experience
- 3 + years of outside sales experience
- Sales experience in the financial services industry
- Experience meeting or exceeding sales goals with respect to products and/or services.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment.
- Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability

Location:
- 100% remote work location is required for this position however must be based in a one of the major markets within the posting territory, which would be Illinois, Wisconsin, and NW Indiana or surrounding areas
Compensation:
- The pay range for this position may vary based on location and includes opportunities for commission.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
$73,100.00 - $143,000.00
